HOW IT WORKS

The system works by immobilising your vehicle as soon as the ignition is switched off. To start your vehicle you will need to have the Card or the secure mobile app open inside the vehicle.


The simple to use cards are rechargeable via USB and the App is available for Android and Apple devices.

As vehicle theft sees criminals becoming ever more innovative in their methods, it has become apparent that an additional layer of security is required, especially one that minimises the risk of violent means to obtain keys. In response to this, leading vehicle security and tracking experts, Global Telemetrics, has launched the most secure vehicle defence system to date. Introducing the new SHADOW Immobiliser, the first app-based immobiliser to be launched anywhere in the UK.

HOW IS SHADOW DIFFERENT TO OTHER IMMOBILISERS

This new bespoke ‘covert’ immobiliser allows users to optimise their security solutions based on their perceived risk. From immediate to ‘distanced’ immobilisation SHADOW gives back control and is designed to stop car thieves in their tracks, minimising the overall risk of theft or violent crime such as hijacking or breaking and entering.

SHADOW works exclusively with the vehicle owner’s mobile device (or ‘driver card’ as secondary means of identification) utilising a cloud-based system and technology exclusive to Global Telemetrics. If the app is not detected by the immobiliser device (securely fitted ‘invisibly’ within a matter of moments via Global Telemetrics’ dealer network) then the vehicle simply will not start, meaning would-be thieves are more likely to vacate the area. SHADOW users can also immobilise the vehicle from a distance should the vehicle be compromised. This prevents the vehicle from being driven any further, making recovery a speedier and hassle-free process.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY BATTERY RUNS FLAT ON THE DRIVER DETECTION CARDS?


The Shadow comes with two Driver Detection cards and a USB charging cable. Should the battery in either of the cards deplete, simply plug into a USB using the charging cable provided and wait 30 minutes for a full charge, or until the LED light turns (green? solid?). You will also be given access to the insert name of app mobile app which will enable you to control the immobilisation aspect of the device without the need for your Driver Detection card.




WHAT IF I LOSE MY CARDS OR THEY ARE STOLEN?


In the event that you lose either of your supplied Bluetooth Driver Detection cards, please contact Global Telemetrics on 0800 279 6401 who will gladly provide you with a replacement. The lost card will be remotely deactivated to prevent foul play. You will be given access to the insert name of app mobile tracking app which can be used to disarm your vehicle in the interim period before your new cards are delivered to you. If your cards and subsequently your vehicle is stolen, please contact the Police to obtain a crime reference number before reporting to Global Telemetrics on 0800 279 6401 option 1 to begin the stolen vehicle recovery liaison process.




WHAT DO I DO WHEN MY VEHICLE GOES IN FOR SERVICING?


Putting the device into “Service Mode” is quick and easy to do via the mobile app. Simply activate Service Mode to enable the vehicle to be driven without the presence of your Driver Detection card, then deactivate Service Mode once the vehicle is back in your possession. The Global Telemetrics support team is available 24/7 should you require any assistance.
